Egypt Introduces Digital Visa-on-Arrival
From 1 August 2026, Egypt will pilot a Digital Visa-on-Arrival system at Cairo International Airport, replacing paper visa stickers with a QR code. During the pilot, both paper visas and digital QR codes will be accepted, with the QR code becoming the standard entry method after the transition. The QR code can be obtained online, via the official mobile app, or at airport self-service kiosks.
