The #TravelHorrorStoryContest (“Contest”) is sponsored by FlyingCarpet.travel (“Sponsor”).

 

Contest Overview

FlyingCarpet.travel is offering participants the chance to win a $200 FlyingCarpet.travel voucher by sharing their most memorable “travel horror story” on Instagram. The Contest begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 9, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on October 25, 2025 (the “Contest Period”). All entries must be received within this period to be eligible.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to legal residents of the United States, aged 18 years or older at the time of entry.
  • Participants must have a public Instagram account.
  • Employees of the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and immediate family members are not eligible.
  • Void where prohibited by law.
  • No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

 

How to Enter

To participate, eligible individuals must:

  1. Post an original photo, video, or Reel on their public Instagram account sharing a personal travel mishap or nightmare (“travel horror story”).
  2. Tag @FlyingCarpet_Travel in the post.
  3. Include the hashtag #TravelHorrorStoryContest in the caption.

 

Entry Limitations:

  • Only one (1) entry per person is allowed.
  • Entries must be original, comply with Instagram’s terms, and not infringe third-party rights.
  • Automated, bulk, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
  • By entering, participants grant the Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display their entries for promotional purposes.

 

Judging & Winner Selection

  • All entries will be judged by the Sponsor or its designated representatives based on the following criteria:
    • Creativity
    • Originality
    • Relevance to theme
  • One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected.
  • The winner will be notified via Instagram direct message within five (5) days of selection and must respond within 48 hours with proof of eligibility. Failure to respond will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected.

 

Prize

  • One (1) Grand Prize: A $200 FlyingCarpet.travel voucher redeemable toward Flights, Hotels, Transfers, or Experiences booked on FlyingCarpet.travel.
  • The voucher is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
  • The voucher is non-transferable, non-refundable, and has no cash value.
  • No substitutions are permitted, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
  • Sponsor is not responsible for taxes or additional costs incurred by the winner.

 

General Conditions

  • Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its control impairs the Contest’s integrity.
  • Participants release Sponsor, Instagram, and all affiliated parties from liability related to the Contest.
  • This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with Instagram.
  • Sponsor’s decisions regarding eligibility, judging, and prize issuance are final and binding.

 

Data Use & Privacy

Personal information collected during the Contest, including Instagram usernames, will be used solely for Contest administration and related communications. The winner’s Instagram handle may also be publicly announced for transparency purposes. Personal data will not be sold or shared with third parties for unrelated marketing purposes and will be handled in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.

By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Terms and by FlyingCarpet.travel’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which apply to all platform use:

 

Winner List

To request the winner’s Instagram username, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Sponsor’s address within thirty (30) days after the Contest ends.

 

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Delaware.
